I’ve been a celebrant for many years. I never intended to make a career out of it; I started marrying friends in a way that felt familiar. Not too jokey, not too waffly, just the right amount of ‘us’ ness. But I’m a people pleaser at heart and I quickly became hooked on the feeling of creating the conditions for people to share an experience they’ll never forget. It’s important to me to balance humour and heart. To give even the tiniest of weddings the chance to spill over with emotion. To never allow things to linger in earnest too long, but to tapdance on the edge ever so slightly. I really do believe that celebrating these moments with people who matter most will become more important in a world that continues to become less and less people centric and I want to create these moments for as many people as I can!
